More Christmas Fun

So as part of our traditions, Jake's sister, boyfriend, and parents come to our house Christmas morning after breakfast, we do gifts, then we go to the Malleo's for the big Chrismas festivities.  We do have some exciting news this year...Dakota and Lindsey are engaged!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!! So the wedding planning has started...kind of I guess, no official date or anything, just thoughts floating around...so happy for them!!

Stockings

So after breakfast, we do our stockings...in my stocking this year was a new camera!!! I guess all my complaining paid off!!! Thanks babe!! So Abby got some good stuff, a rubber ducky,  a giraffe, some bath toys.

Shayne got a pizza cutter, because basically the only thing he eats is pizza or cheese crisps :) The new wimpy kid book, an iTunes gift card and some paddle tires for his new RC car.

I put a stress ball in Jake's stocking for when he is in the car (it was actually Shayne's idea)!!

Christmas Morning

Well, when Abby got up on Christmas morning, we had to call big brother Shayne, because he was at his dad's so it's a good thing she is only one and easily distracted, because he was still sleeping, and didn't get home for another hour or so, so we were able to keep her distracted by her red wagon that santa brought her.
Oh, and she loves snow globes, I put these on the end tables, and they have buttons on the sides, which she can reach, so she was constantly pushing them and playing the music.
She does love her red wagon...
So, finally big brother came home, and they were able to open gifts...Santa brought Shayne an RC car.
At first, Abby was mostly interested in taking Shayne's wrapping paper from his presents and putting it in the box we were using for trash...
He put a bow on her head, she left it there, I don't think she even noticed...
There she goes with the trash...

So then Shayne sat her down to help with her presents.
He is such a good big brother :)

Then once all her gifts were opened, she wanted to play with Shayne's DVDs...go figure!

Christmas Eve Festivities

Well, our Christmas Eve traditions have become to spend Christmas Eve together, and open one Christmas Eve gift (which we know is going to always be jammies).  The last few years Shayne has spent Christmas Eve with his dad, so we decided to do our Christmas Eve on the eve of Christmas Eve, so anyway, we had also made plans to go to Prescott to go to Jake's grandma's candlelight service at her church, and then go to see the gingerbread houses at the Prescott Resort.
She was fascinated by the wrapping paper...
She learned how to climb into her toy boxes!
This was her with the ribbon from her Christmas Eve present.

Then, she actually ate an onion ring!
This was her on Christmas Eve in her giraffe jammies, with her beautiful necklace, with her giraffe!
 Kisses! Mwah!
Jake's Grandma Boyd had given Shayne this Thomas Kinkade train, Jake set it up Christmas Eve...it is really cool, it has lights in the train cars and everything.
