Kellee & Evie's Birthday Weekend Extravaganzaa!!

Well, as we all know (or maybe you don't) that Kellee and I both have birthday's in December, so we have begun a tradition, that we celebrate together, and because we have such amazing husbands, this year, we went on a weekend getaway to Sedona.  We had such a wonderful time.  It was nice to get away.  It was the first time for us to leave Abby for an extended amount of time, she was with Grandma Karen and Grandpa Carl, so she was in good hands.

Christmas fun around the house

So this year we bought an Advent Calendar.  It has been fun with Abby, because over the days, she has realized that she can open up those boxes and get something.  So, this was one of the first nights we did it, and we have been putting little candies in the boxes, so Shayne was helping her, it was hilarious.
He was trying to get her to take a bite of the kit kat.
 She finally figured it out.

And has a new found love for chocolate :)
 Do you like her hair?!?!
This was before we went to go see Santa
You can't see them too well in this picture, but on the table are snow globes, and they have buttons on them that play songs, well she figured out very quickly how to work them, and she loves them.  We were in Target the other day, and they have a whole display of snow globes, and I must have spent 20 minutes turning them all upside down and winding them up for her, and she will say "oooohhh"....then when we walked away she cried...

How do you like our fireplace ;)

Then she went on the carousel...it was her first time, it was a good thing Shayne was there to go with her:)
 She did like it!

Christmas Time in Prescott

So this year, we decided we were going to go to Prescott and go to the Christmas Parade and then go to the Courthouse lighting and all that...well of course it decides to be crazy cold and all blizzard like the weekend of the parade and lighting.  Well, we decided to go up north anyway and attempt the parade, it was pretty frigid...it was snowing, I am surprised the parade went on, the poor people in the parade, but anyway, we were able to find an awning to hide under, we bundled Abby up, and enjoyed the parade...kind of...for about 30 minutes!!!

We also had Sean for the weekend, so he had to endure the fun!

The boys got some hot chocolate, so they were giving Abby some whip cream.
 She loved it :)

So, we ended up not going back to the lighting, it was too dang cold...we stayed with Jimmy and Kellee and played Farmer's Rummy all night...it was pretty fun...and warm!

Family photos

So, this year for family photos, we went to Saguaro Ranch Park in Glendale.  I had never been there before, and if you live in Phoenix, and have never been, it is worth a drive over.  It is a beautiful historical park, they have beautiful old homes and farm equipment, and it is just a gorgeous place to go enjoy the beautiful Arizona weather.  Thanks to Surreal Media and Jim Byrnes, we got these amazing family photos, of course there were a ton more ( like 500 I think between Abby's 1st birthday photo shoot and our family photo shoot, but here are a few).
