Thanksgiving weekend!

Thanksgiving time...I love fall and Thanksgiving and the baking, and especially the eating!! I mostly enjoy spending time with the family. This year I am very fortunate that I was able to get Thanksgiving and Christmas off at work. So what am I thankful for? Well, first, I am thankful for God and His grace. I am also very thankful for Jake, especially that he is here this year to celebrate with us. Last year he was in Oregon working, so we were not together during Thanksgiving. I am so very thankful for my children,...Shayne, he is turning into quite the young man. He has such a big heart, and although we are too much alike, and get on each others nerves, he really is a good kid. He is such a good big brother to Abby, we couldn't ask for anything more. Abby, she is such a delightful little girl. She is growing and changing so quickly, she has quite the personality for such a little thing. Last but not least, our angel baby boy, although we never got to know him, he has blessed our lives in so many ways...of course I miss him and wish he were still here with us, growing so big inside my belly, I am thankful for the very short time that we had him here on earth, and thankful that someday we will meet him in heaven. I am also thankful for our friends and family, we are so blessed to have such a great support system, couldn't do it without you guys!!

Shayne thought this would be a great idea...Abby loved it, until they took a corner a bit too fast, and then she was done!!
This was before the accident...

Little girl, she is so stinking cute!

This is a craft idea we got from Grandma Karen, she has all of Jake and Lindsey's growing up, so we decided to do Abby's...cute little reindeer!!

For Thanksgiving this year, we went to Jake's cousin Kara's house. This is Abby and Averie-cousins!! They are 6months apart. Averie was born in April.

This is Abby, Averie, and Jake's uncle Kip (Averie's Grandpa)!

Averie wasn't feeling too well, but did bring out some of her toys for Abby to play with...they are at the age where they don't play together, but play independently alongside each other.

She had this play door, that Abby was fascinated with, it had lights, mail, all sorts of fun stuff!

Of course, Abby had to go outside to investigate...she loves to play outside!

Of all the toys in the house, they both wanted to play with the ball.
This is Abby and Great Grandma Boyd.

Abby and Jake walking around outside.Happy Thanksgiving!!We started to decorate the house on Saturday, Shayne was at his friends house, so we put up the tree, but are waiting to decorate it. When Abby woke up from her nap, she was very interested in all the Christmas stuff!

Playing with the lights.

And the beads...

Broken bead...which we found in her mouth...mother of the year award, right here!!! This is her Abby Cadabby ornament that she got from Grandma Karen and Grandpa Carl, I tried to get her to put in on the tree, but she snagged it right back!!

So, we will be decorating again tonight, I bought some pumpkin egg nog, which is delicious, and maybe some hot chocolate, but we have been listening to Christmas music all weekend...IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!!

Weekend Fun Times!

Abby loves to play in the pantry, this time she found the protein!

This was on our way to her 1 year check up...I guess now she is considered a toddler :(

This was while we were getting ready to go bowling.

Abby and Shayne at the bowling alley.

We went during cosmic bowling, she loved it for like 5 minutes, then she just wanted to run around!

Such a happy little thing...

We went to the park so Shayne could ride his bike.

She was fascinated with his bike and exploring the park. A couple of dogs walked by us when we were walking on the sidewalk, and she was like running to catch up with them!

Shayne comes to this park with his friends usually, do jump their bikes.

Priceless
Even Jake got to ride the bike for a little bit!

Hanging out at the park.

Daddy and Abby, walking to the car :)

This is what happens when we let Abby play in the pantry...cheerios all over the floor!

Thankfully we have Zeppy, who helped her clean up the mess!

When we got home from the park, we decided we wanted to make cookies, Shayne helped...

So did Abby and Zeppy :)
I think Shayne only wanted to help, so he could "help" clean up...he showed Abby how it's done!

She got the hang of it pretty quick!

Abigail's first Birthday!

It's hard to believe it has already been a year since our sweet little lady was born...Happy 1st Birthday Abigail!
This was a few days before her birthday when she opened her gift from her Grandma Karen and Grandpa Carl. They gave her a pair of beautiful diamond earrings, but the part she enjoyed most was the singing card they got for her...

We had a party for her on Saturday, which was the day before her birthday. We started the party at 2:00pm, in hopes for her to get a good nap in before the festivities. Guest started showing up a little before 2:00 and she was still napping, so I woke her up (which is always a risk, she usually gets pretty cranky if she doesn't wake up on her own and have some alone time in her crib). So I woke her up and dressed her in her cute little outfit for the party.
This was her coming out of her room for the party. Still waking up, trying to figure out what's going on.
Something to know about Abby-she is just like her dad...she does not like big crowds of people. So anytime this happens, she gets this deer in the headlights look and clings to Jake or I. I thought she would be a little better since we were at home, and I figured if I woke her up before the house filled up with a ton of people, she could get used to everyone as they came in...didn't really work :)
Uncle Ray gave her some dip for her cucumbers...which she loved!!
Big brother was trying to warm her up to everyone.Aunt Kathy wanted to see her smile, so she let her open her present early...It worked, she got a smile out of her, she got her own little radio and she loves it! In the meantime...Jake was busy being grillmaster!!
Then she got to open another gift, from Great Grandma Boyd and Aunt Deb.
She loves to be outside, and with so many friends here, she didn't know what to do!
Time for more presents!
She was very distracted, she couldn't understand why she couldn't play with the toy, we just opened them and then took them away :)
She got a lot of "little people" stuff, which she loves.
Then it was time for cake.Big brother helped her get messy!
That's the way! Then she took a bath to get cleaned up, and found her doggy to play with! The 3 A's- Avery, Abigail and Alexis! Playin' with the horsie from The Daugherty's.
Poppy made it from Kingman, He brought her a big stuffed Boyd's Bear!
Kellee, Abby and Jimmy.
Aunt Lindsey, Abby and Dakota.
Abby wearing her pink camo, John Deere sweatshirt from Aunt Lindsey and Dakota.
Beautiful Girl Turns One!!!
We had so much fun at Abby's party. It was good to see all of our family and friends come help us celebrate such a big important day! I can't belive she's already 1...
